Art exhibition Thursday, June 1st @ 6:00 p.m. Opening of end of the year exhibition for the Art students. The exhibition runs until June 12 Thursday, June 8th @ 6:00 p.m. Opening of an exhibition entitled “DECONSTRUCTING WAR” –Visual Representations by Artists for Peace”. The exhibition is composed of 40 artists from Colorado, curated by Professor George Rivera. The medium represented are digital art, ink and pencil drawings, monotypes, small paintings, pastels, photography, serigraphs and solar etchings. The exhibition will run until July 2nd Thursday, June 16th @ 7:00 p.m. opening of the art exhibition entitled “People, Land, Spirit: Icons of the First Peoples of the Americas” Artists in Residence Steve Smith is a well known ceramic artist. He teaches ceramics at Defiance College in the U.S.A. and has a great experience with ceramic, glazing and trouble shooting. He will be in Palestine for a study and solidarity tour, but would also like to meet with local artists, artisans. Art Exhibition

Opening of an international group exhibition called “Self-portraits – A Show for Bethlehem”, curated by the German artist Agricola de Cologne. The exhibition consists of two components: a DVD with 20 videos and a collection of digital prints by artists from all over the world including Palestinian artists from Bethlehem.  The exhibition runs until July 30.

Art Exhibition

Opening of an Exhibition entitled “1000 Peace Women Across the Globe”.  A photo exhibition, portraits of some of the women from over 150 countries nominated to the Nobel Peace Committee 2005 and was the second elected after the winner. The exhibition will be officially opened by Nabila Espanioly, one of the nominated women and the director of the Women center 'Al Tufula' in Nazareth.  The exhibition will run until October 31.
** At 12:00 film screening of the documentary '1000 women and a dream'
** Followed a workshop by Nabila Espanioly from 12:30 until 2:30 about “Women rights are human rights - human rights are women rights' - Empowerment of women in the Palestinian society.
