Judy

What would you like to tell the world?

The world, specially the USA and Europe should be more active in the end. They let the Israeli government do what ever it likes. Instead, they should pressure Israel and show Sharon the limits. That is a moral obligation of Europe, after the unfortunate European entanglements in Palestinian history over the last 100 years. We have had enough of empty promises.

Europe has to act! I'm very disappointed in the German Foreign Minister Fischer. The day after the massacre in Beit Rima nothing else came to his mind than to reaffirm the right of Israel to exist. Once again the rights of Palestinians were neglected!

Were you able to relax at all during the last eight days?

No. Violence and threat are present everywhere anytime. One hears the shots from outside and inside runs the television, where the local station has no other program.

If all the checkpoints would have been removed, what would be the first thing for you to do?

Travel in our own land that I really don't know that well. Mainly in the north. I haven't been at the Sea of Galilee for more than 12 years! Somebody from Germany can travel there easier than me. Isn't that absurd?
