Samir
Samir, 20 months old, was at his grandparents the evening the Israeli military invaded Bethlehem and started its campaign of terror. During the first few days, Samir was crying almost continously:
Go home! Go home!
On Monday 29 October, one wonders what Samir thought when he saw the debris on his bed, a bullet near his small bicycle, his teddy bear buried under white wash fallen from damaged walls, and a bullet holes in the east wall of his house, piercing a picture of his small family.
When he was finally able to go home, he said:
Fishi dababeh!
(There is no tank!)
