Sister Sophie

Water is more precious than bread and milk.

Sister Sophie tells us about the damages. Some of the infrastructure that was hit includes the solar heating mirrors on the roof, some of water pipes and water tanks.

No name for the 28 week baby, who is called Khadija’s daughter. Four other babies were in the same place and were evacuated. The window of the intensive care unit was shattered by a shrapnel. A mother who was in delivery was also there when the section of the hospital was hit. Some of the shots came near the oxygen tanks and others next to the fuel tanks and the maintenance estimated that if they were hit half of the hospital would have been destroyed.

What would you like to tell the world?

Give us peace and help to maintain children’s rights. Do not hit places like this and children’s homes and hospitals. I am not a Palestinian, but I have dedicated my life to the poor. The world must understand what it means to support the poor - support does not necessarily mean financial support but moral support.
