to hide from bullets shot from a helicopter, Beit Jala, Friday,

The improvised memorial
for Johnny Taljiye, 25 October. Johnny was shot by a sniper at Manger
square from Hindaza mountain, the hilltop in the background. He had just
left the afternoon prayer in the Nativity church. The last picture shows
the Bethlehem Peace Center, which was errected in place of the Police
station of the British Mandate, Jordanian rule and Israeli
occupation.
