International Christian Youth Festival 2001

Youth 21 seeks to create a network of young people who are committed to play a pro-active role in shaping a new millennium based on justice and love.

Festival Objectives:

• Gather young people and celebrate the new millenium on the spot where the angels sang 2000 years ago: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men".   

• Experience and enjoy fellowship.

• Build bridges of understanding between young people of different cultures.

• Encounter the desert monasteries, sunrise worship, Tour the tourist attractions and holy sites and Meet the living stones.

 Major Festival Activities:

• Lectures on the Themes of the Festival.

• Discussions Groups.

• Worship & Prayers.

• Art, Music and Performances.

• Intercultural Bible Studies and Workshops.

• Exploration of the Bethlehem Area.

• "The Sound of Silence" a Desert Experience.

• Youth Action Plan on Human Rights.

• International Music Festival.
