The Edward Said
National Conservatory of Music - Bethlehem Chapter
In 1997 a coalition was
forged between the ICB and the National Music Conservatory, which
brought into existence the National Music Conservatory-Bethlehem
Chapter, the first of its kind in the Bethlehem District.

Our Music program aims
at creating a new artistic generation and reviving music as an art
form that will enrich the cultural life of Bethlehem. It enhances both
the traditional Palestinian musical heritage and the western
tradition, secular as well as religious music.
The students learn to
play instruments, take solfege lessons, music interpretation and come
together to form different choirs and bands. They can choose between
qanon, oud or percussion if they want to learn classical Arabic
instruments and piano, guitar, flute, violin, trumpet or saxophone for
western music. Students have the opportunity to learn music from
classical to modern, jazz to folkloric.
