Dear Friends,
With the motto “Destruction May Be,
Continuity Shall Be”, the ICB resumed its activities with vigor and new energy
after the Israeli occupying forces redeployed its forces outside the city and
around-the-clock curfew was lifted. Please check out the
following stories in detail that attest to the work in progress and show our
deep commitment to the people of Bethlehem.

The ICB held its annual
Summer School program despite the
curfews and the siege imposed on Bethlehem, during the hours that the curfew
was lifted.

Dar al-Kalima
School opens
its doors for the new scholastic year 2002/2003. A teacher writes about the
first day of school.

Construction of the
Conference Center continues despite
all the setbacks of the last months.

Construction of the
Wellness Center at Mureir Mountain
site resumes on full scale.

Christmas
Campaign to
sell the arts and crafts of local artisans is launched despite the destruction
of al-Kahf Gift Shop.

ICB restarts its
cultural activities with the first
event, which is the hosting of the renowned travel writer, Mr. William
Dalrymple. More events are organized.
