Dear Friends,
As we enter the third year of the Intifada, Palestinians continue to strive to overcome the obstacles and hardships which the on-going Israeli occupation imposes on their everyday lives. As people the world over are impacted by events such as the bombing in Bali, the hostage-taking in Moscow and the probable attack on Iraq, Palestinians relate to the uncertainty and fear that many have in these days.
In such times, many choose to withdraw from others, seeking comfort and safety in isolation. But, others choose to face their fears by moving beyond themselves, reaching out across boundaries. Dar Annadwa and Dar Al-Kalima seek to equip our people to choose the latter, to meet their fears and uncertainties with creativity, passion and strength, thus encouraging them to continue to build our future.
