Scholarship Awards for the Dar al-Kalima Students

As part of a scholarship program that the International Center of Bethlehem has initiated to support the students of the Dar al-Kalima and to recognize their accomplishments, 51 students were awarded the Achievement Scholarships on Tuesday March 25th for the scholastic year 2002/2003. Each scholarship award, in the amount of $100 USD, went towards payment of tuition fees.

Each student received a recognition letter congratulating him/her on his/her accomplishment, whether academic, musical, artistic, vocational, athletic, communications (computer), etc. The scholarships and letters of recognition were presented to the students during the morning devotion, which the whole school community attended.

In addition to the scholarships awarded, the ICB presented the school with an additional NIS 5000, to support the Extra Curricular Program (ECP) that the school runs. This program is designed to promote the students’ creativity and critical thinking through music, art, etc.

The scholarship program would not have been possible without the generosity of some partner-institutions and individuals. We thank them all and hope that many others will join this worthy project.
