THE WALL OF SHAME
By Palestinian General Delegation
Dear friends,
I have just returned from a ten days visit to Palestine where, again, I
witnessed and experienced what Roberts Burns called " Man's inhumanity to Man".
During these 10 days there were no suicide bombings but on a daily basis Israeli
incursions, targeted killings, mass arrests, settlement building and an
acceleration of the wall construction continued relentlessly.
The check-points continue to strangulate Palestinian society and suffocate the
economy. In a globalised world where productivity and competitiveness are
important, the Palestinian people lose daily millions of working hours on
check-points.
The Wall of shame, if allowed to continue will eat up to over 50% of the West
Bank and the Palestinians are being literally caged in small cantons and
communities are totally dislocated, disconnected.
Here are some pictures.
