Volunteer
Servant Events
Volunteer as
individuals or couples in a servant event at the International Center
of Bethlehem and/or
Dar
al-Kalima
School.
You can volunteer to do administrative and manual work, or other work
depending on your qualifications.
Example: Chuck
and Ann from
Colorado
came to Bethlehem in mid-September for three months. They lived in a
small apartment near the ICB. Chuck and Ann covered their own travel
expenses and were donating their time and personal expenses for this
mission. They did clerical work, including correspondence and a
newsletter. They did odd jobs like plumbing, construction work,
landscaping, cleaning, teaching English and just about everything
else.
Artist in Residence
Volunteer as an
artist-in-residence to teach and supervise an Art and Craft Workshop.
Volunteer as a Youth or Adult groups for one to three weeks.
Volunteer as
individuals to teach at ICB and Dar al-Kalima School (English, German,
Computer, Sports, Art, etc…).
Example: Pastor
Paul from
Illinois,
USA volunteered for 6 weeks at the ICB to teach English for the
Guiding Course students, as well as helping to coordinate the
International Christian Youth Festival 2000.
Example: Ms. Diana from
Stuttgart,
Germany
is a volunteer for one year to teach German in the afternoon program
of the Dar al-Kalima School, aside from doing administrative work at
the ICB.
Volunteer as a
specialist in Archaeology, History and Geography of Palestine, Old and
New Testament, Media and Communication.
Example: Prof.
Dr. Dorothy from the USA volunteered for 3 months to teach New
Testament at our Guiding Course.
Example: Dr.
Ulrike from
Germany
taught for two weeks the history of the Temple Mount/al-Aqsa Mosque at
our Guiding Course.
